Tom Chee is a Diné rancher and facilitator, born and raised on the Navajo Nation. He served as an elected Council Delegate to the Navajo Nation Tribal Council for four years, and is well respected in the agricultural and broader communities for being a peacemaker and advocate. Tom has lived, farmed and ranched in San Juan County, New Mexico along the San Juan River for the past 35 years of his long life. He is passionate about food sovereignty, working to get back to traditional ways of farming.


By speaking the Diné language in community and on his weekly radio show, he is walking his cultural belief that the land provides knowledge and that this knowledge is encoded in his Native language.
