Sandhya Tillotson

As the principal and founder of Sagebrush Ltd, Sandhya Tillotson uses her years of collaborative problem solving in the nonprofit sector to bring vitality to diverse organizations.

Sandhya is a nonprofit consultant with the SW Colorado Small Business Development Center. As the Executive Director of a local Durango nonprofit for over five years, Sandhya ushered in an era of rebirth for the organization growing its annual budget by nearly 5 times and expanding its community impact by 7 times. With Sandhya at the helm, the organization was awarded 2017 Non-Profit of the Year by the Durango Chamber of Commerce.

Originally from Santa Barbara, CA, Sandhya received her B.S. in Environmental Science from The Colorado College. Since moving to Durango in 2010, she has worked and volunteered for local nonprofits, including The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado, Durango Nature Studies and 4CORE and served on the steering committee of Growing Partners, a local food system advocacy organization.

In 2015 Sandhya graduated from the Community Resource Center’s Nonprofit Leadership & Management Program, building strong relationships with Executive Directors from across Colorado. From an early age, Sandhya's global consciousness has led her from the beaches of Costa Rica where she volunteered for wildlife conservation to the desert dunes of India where she interned for rural sustainable development projects.

As a visionary servant-leader in the community, Sandhya thrives on new partnerships and projects that support the well-being of people, animals and the environment in the Southwest.

Dear Sandhya, Thank you so much for your incredible efforts to help write the HFFI grant proposal. You are deeply appreciated!
Great progression of process. I get alienated by mission/ vision/ strategic planning lingo, but this changed the game for me... This was really valuable. We have committees. We have action steps and accountability... Going from visioning all the way through implementation was great... Very nice retreat summary notes... Thank you very much for helping Onward!”
